Mark Parzynski, DAOM, L.Ac.

With more than a decade of experience in acupuncture and East Asian medicine, I’ve built my practice around providing truly individualized, patient-centered care. By dedicating my full attention to one patient at a time, I’m able to offer comprehensive, personalized treatments that stay true to the heart of East Asian medicine. My focus is on ensuring that each patient receives the undivided attention and customized care they need to support their unique healing journey.

I hold a Doctorate of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine from the Oregon College of Oriental Medicine (OCOM), where my capstone research focused on the use of traditional non-needling techniques like gua sha, cupping, moxibustion, and teishin. My ongoing research in these modalities and experiences studying with some of the finest teachers in the USA, Japan and China allow me to offer a holistic and integrative approach to health and healing that goes beyond standard acupuncture.

Throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege of working in diverse clinical settings, including one of the busiest clinics on the west coast and several community health projects. However, my passion has always been for deep, one-on-one patient care, free from the time constraints and treatment limitations imposed by bureaucracy and the insurance industry. This commitment to offering authentic, comprehensive care led me to open my own practice in Southington, Connecticut, where I focus solely on the well-being of each individual patient.

I had the honor of serving as a clinical supervisor and faculty member at OCOM. In this role, I guided and mentored both Master’s and Doctoral students in the practice of acupuncture and East Asian medicine. My primary focus was supervising students in the teaching clinic, where I oversaw patient care, provided hands-on instruction, and ensured students developed the clinical skills necessary for effective, compassionate treatment. This experience deepened my own understanding of East Asian medicine while allowing me to pass on valuable knowledge to the next generation of practitioners. Teaching has always been a passion of mine, as it allows me to help students grow into skilled, patient-centered healers.

In addition to my clinical work, I’m also the owner of AcuArtistry, where I create traditional tools for acupuncturists and provide continuing education courses for practitioners. My passion for East Asian medicine extends beyond the clinic and into teaching and mentorship, where I strive to empower future generations of practitioners with the knowledge and skills to deliver high-quality care.
