Insurance Billing
In my years practicing in busy clinics and working with insurance, I saw firsthand how the insurance industry can impact the quality of care. Most insurance companies don’t cover treatments like gua sha, cupping, moxibustion, or Chinese herbal medicine, and the conditions they do cover for acupuncture are extremely limited. They often pay only for short, 15-minute increments that exclude the office visit itself. These restrictions can influence the type and quality of treatment patients receive, pushing practitioners to see multiple people at a time and limiting the treatments they offer.
By choosing not to bill insurance, I’ve created a fully patient-centered practice. I offer fair rates and ensure my focus remains solely on your care without interference from insurance companies. This allows me to give you the time and personalized attention you deserve, tailoring treatments to your unique needs without compromise.
